A summer of song (mostly)

So, as Edinburgh starts to loom, a few other opportunities have popped up along the way to it. Next week I shall be workshopping a  new musical called But First This, Radio 4 The Musical, whihc showcases at The Leicester Square Theatre on Friday July 13th. Then it’s up to Yorkshire for Story Book with Slung Low on July 28th (squeezing the intensive pre-Edinburgh Showstopper! practice AND two gigs with The School of Night – Soho Theatre July 20/21 – into the middle somewhere); and finally a character who first emerged as an in-joke for the Stoppers (God, that bodes well), an old-fashioned, charming but loud and voluble rep actor known as The Northbound Bore, makes his stage debut again at Leicester Square in Newborn Comedy on July 30th. Then I’ve just got twenty-odd shows in Edinburgh and a baby boy to look after. Piece of cake.
